    A Stitzel-Weller Affair: Kentucky Derby Pop-Up

This year Hibiscus Linens had the pleasure of joining small businesses Slightly East and Sarah Bray Bermuda for a three day pop-up at the Stitzel-Weller Distillery in Louisville, Kentucky just in time for the annual Kentucky Derby. The Stitzel-Weller Distillery, original home of Pappy Van Winkle, now serves as home to bourbon brands Blade and Bow, I.W. Harper, and Bulleit, and offers all day tastings and tours of the grounds and distilling process. The distillery is also home to the second ever Garden & Gun Club, a southern staple celebrating refined food, drink, and hospitality.

We were lucky enough to set up shop at the entrance of the Garden & Gun Club, with Slightly East's stunning derby silk bow ties and pocket squares, Sarah Bray Bermuda's picture perfect derby hats with interchangeable ribbons, and, of course, our derby hand embroidered linens for all the visiting derby-goers.

We were also so honored to be a part of the 5th Annual Stitzel-Weller Affair hosted by the Garden & Gun Club and Blade and Bow whiskey, with our black fringe dinner napkins at the seat of every guest. We spent the night listening to live music on the lawn of the distillery, trying signature bourbon cocktails from the Blade and Bow horse trailer, and dining al fresco on a delicious meal from Garden & Gun Club's executive chef. It was truly a night of celebrating southern hospitality and a century of horse racing traditions that we hope to be a part of over and over again!
