Caring for your linens
Our linens can be dry cleaned, hand washed or machine washed on a gentle cycle.
Fine fabrics are generally not pre-washed, so good quality linens should always be washed before use. This first wash is important for setting the threads, which will preserve the fabric’s beauty and prolong its life.
Washing embroidered linens? These are particularly delicate and should be washed separately. You can also add salt to the water to prevent the loss of embroidery thread color or “running” of dyes.
When washing your linens, make sure to follow these rules carefully:
- Set the machine to wash in cold water on a gentle/delicate cycle with a cold water rinse.
- Use a mild detergent that does not contain any bleaching agents such as chlorine or peroxide. Chlorine bleach can weaken natural fibers and may cause them to yellow. If necessary, use an oxygen-based bleach.
